GENERAL BOOTH
VIEWS ON AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE. (Eeo. August 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 2. ' General Booth has returned, from Aus tralasia. Ho declares that he found-a growing antipathy for work, quit© distinct from 'the ambition to be well paid for the work done. He .found the Australian Labour Party largely composed of men and women of religious and moral character, who looked' with contempt upon "Bolshevik cackle/' General Booth also said he found in Australia a section of anti-British sentim'onA somehow connected with the Roman Church. "This section is so noisy ithat it gives the impression of being more influential than it actually is. The remedy can be found in a free and open conference. 'J'ho Australian people are wonderful, if they can only get rid of the drink, which is possible. The have an immense future." —Aus.-N.Z. Cable As6n. >
