BISCUITS AND SUGAR
Sir,—We notice in your paper of Saturday last a paragraph relating to a supply of biscuits having been received in Wellington after tho price of sugar had advanced, and adding that any quantity could now bo procured after prices had advanced. We are in a position to Bay the paragraph is not correct. Wo are in receipt of letters and telegrams begging for b'ecuite from many storekeepers, but we cannot supply, and hav« not supplied any since the rise in sugar. We cannot understand why any person should give you information which is incorrect; probably if is some storokeeper that, was fortunate to get in c small supply at slightly advanced prices from some firm who happened to have them.—l am, etc., G. CAIjMAN. Managing Director Southern Cross Biscuit Co. Ltd., Wanganul. Wauganui, July 20.
