STRUCK BY A TRAM-CAR

Late yesterday afternoon William Dodd, -i member of tlio Corporation utreet-repairing gang, was struck down by n tramcar on Lambton Quay, opposite tlio Commercial Hotel. Dodd was swinging his pick close to the tramway track when a car came from behind and-knocked him to the wound. He was conveyed to the Hospital, where it was ascertained that the only injuries •he had received were to his head, and these were rot serious. Late last nipht ho was reported to be progressing favourably. Dodd is aged 37 yea is, and ro. sides in Main Street, Johnsonvillo.
