CONCLUSION OF -CONFERENCE. Tho annual .conference of tho New Zealand Farmers' Union was continued yesterday, Sir James Wilson presiding. Romits adopted were: "That the Government be asked to compel manuf-ic-hirers of manures to givo tho exact ingredients and analysis of manure," (Auckland.) > "That (he attention of tho Government be drawn to the spreading of noxious weeds in Tarnnaki through tho iniporlation of weed-infected seeds and liorscfeod." (Tarannki.) "That tho Government bo asked to appoint a representative, to investigate the possibilities of opning up trndo with tho Eastern countries, with a viow to opening up new markets for our produce," (Wellington.) The election of officers resulted ns fol-lows:—Pi-esident, Mr. G. W. Leadley (Ashburton)i vice-president, Sir. T. Moss (Eketahuna); treasurer, Mr. W. ]). Mathe.son (Ekctalruna); Advisory Committee, Messrs. E. Bowmar (Gore), G. Rheat (Dunsandel), W. D. Harknetvs (Richmond). 11. 1). DilxPeld Ulorotiu), G. Ji.
