JOHN EDMOND SCHOLARSHIP. By Teleeraptt—Press Association. Dunedin, July 30. Mr, John Edmond has forwarded a cheque for ,£2OOO to the Registrar of Ilia Otago "University for tho purpose of establishing a chemical research scholarship in connection with New Zealand industries. In a letter accompanying the gift, Jlr. Edmond states that this amount with tho Government subsidy ought to produce an income sufficient to provide av .scholarship of an nnnuul valuo of and still leave something to provides for. the material necessary to the research. The scholarship ts to bo held for two years, and will bo known as the John Edmond Scholarship.
