INDIANS IN NEW ZEALAND
Sir-I-thoroughly agree with the sentiments expressed on this subject in .your Monday's issue, in a letter signed b.V the local secretary of the New Zealand and India League. As one who has resided in New Zealand for over half a century 1 felt indignant when I read of the treatment which had been meted »ut, to the Indian scrub-cutters. As your correspondent pointed out, can we expect them to remain loyal if we dd •not treat them with ordinary justice? And 1 trust that in future beter counsels may prevail, and if thev should require accommodation that they will be treated decently and not forced to spend the night in a public park, as I believe was the case in this iustance.-I am, etc ' PAIR FLAY."
