With a keen sense of pride as the official representative of the Canadian newspapers, I .desire to avail myself of tho first opportunity accorded of communicating a message by wireless telcphono from a ship at sea- to tho Press of Canada; nntl also to pay n tri'bule to tho eminently satisfactory working results of this practical test of the newest achievement of tho distinguished Marconi. The accomplishment is great in'its potentiality for prosecuting tho common interests of the British Empire.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Ass n. . Sydney (Nova Scotia), July 27. Referring to the le'si of tho wireless telephone on the liner Victorian, Viscount Bumham stated on his arrival in Canada, that on Sunday the British Press Delegation heard the National Anthem sung in England, 2180 miles away.—Aus,N.Z.
