ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY

Society of Accountants, addressed last evening a well attended meeting of the Wellington Aciuuntant Students' Society. .Mr. liest gave an instructive lecture on "Auditing' Iho (.'ash Jiook." The subject was dealt with in a manner which was of great value In his audience.' The discussion which fo|low«l added further in the value of the meeting. The attendance included members or- the Society of Accountants, who were welcomed by Mr E.AV. Hunt, the president of Ihe. Students' Society. Mr. Hunt referred hi the good work that, was being performed for Ihe profession by Air. Best, who is at present engaged on a lour of Ihe branches of the Society of AecounltnK Mr. Best had for years also shown a very practical interest in thu Student's' Society, on several occasions journeying up from Christchurch for t.l'ie purpose of delivering lectures to memlicrs, The appreciation shown by the audience io the lecturer for his able address and for his kindly interest in the society was unniisknicnbly shown -)y the. heartinws of the volo of thanks that was passed.
