ALTERATIONS IN THE RULES. (Rec. July 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 25. The following alterations have been made in the Rugby rules: In rule eleven it is provided that where a player does not immediately placo the ball in tho scrum a free kick bo given. In regard to rule twenty-two, where a sorum is Riven for a breach inside the twenty five, if the breach is within ten yards of the touch-line, a scrum is to "be given ten yards out. Provision is made that ivhen a fair catch has been allowed tho catcher must take the kick.—"Tho Times."
