At the Otalu yards on Wednesday, Messrs. Daleety and Co., Ltd., report offering a Rood yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. Competition, for sheep under tho hammer waß good, and all lots offered were readily disposed of at prices in excess of vendors' reserves. Sales effected were aB under:—Poor conditioned 4-year breeding ewes. 305.; medium woolly ewes and hoereets, 245. 3d.; shorn hocsrets. 20s. Id.;.cull hoireets. 13b. Bd, to 14s. 3d.: fat- and forward ewes, 295.; 2 year-old dairy heifers, £10. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report havine held their fortnightly sale in tho Levin yardß on Tuesday, when they offered a Rood yardlne of sheep and medium entry of cattle. Competition for sheen was sound, and all lots offered wero readily disposed of under tho hammer at ratcß on Dar to the previous sale. Tho demand for all classes of steers in anythins llko fair condition was sounder than tho previous one. A good entry of dairy cows was also offered. The demand for guaranteed cows was good, prices raneine from £15 to £23. Messrs. Dalzcty and Co., Ltd., report havine held a successful sale of dairy stock, etc., at the homestead bf Mr. Ij. Dixon, Ohau, on Wednesday. Three herds of cows were offered, viz.. on account of Messrs. Dixon, Corner, and Royal. Mr. Dixon's herd of inilkin" Shorthorn-croBS cows came forward in tip top order, and condition, and keen bidding was felicited for all lots offered, the herd making a satisfactory average of just on £20. The ranßO of prices are as under:—3 cows at £30. 5 at £26, 5 from £20 to .£22, 3 at £17, 7 from £12 to £15. Messrs. Corner and Royal's herd also sold -.veil.
