ANGLICAN BOYS' HOMES
A well-attended meeting of the executive of the Ladies' Committee of tho Hehousing Committee of the Anglican lioys' Homes was held at Messrs. Betluino ami Co.'s Building yesterday afternoon. Mrs." Sprott was elco'cd as patron, and Mrs. Lionel Abraham (of Palmerston North) as a vice-president, and several names «ero ndrtwt to the committee. A scheme was -discussed whereby all Anglican homes for orphans and fatherless and motherless children would revive permanent annual support.' Homes of tha Anglican' Church engaged in rescue work would also Tho scheme was highly approvod of byNill present, tho president's motion approving tho plan being unanimously supported. Mrs. Collins, the president, was in the chair. Colleetiiiff-boolM were distributed, and all receipts will boar the words "Tho Anglican Boys' Homes' Society, Diocese of Wellington, New Zealand (Incorporated)." A meeting of ladies in itlie Seatoun-Kil-birnie parish was held at Mrs. C. H. Seville's residence, Hataitai.Road, to cuss what efforts should be made for 1 raising funds to support the Re-housing Committee. The secretary of the Ladies' Committee was present, and spuko on the work and on. its extension, when over twice Alio number will bo accommodated. All present expressed a desire to make the street 6ales day a success by being responsible for a stall. Tho uay set aside for this effort is October 1. Mrs. Seville was clectcd treasurer for tho district, which includes Seatoun, ICaraka Bay. Miramax, Lyall Bay, and Maranui, from which representatives wero present.
