KARORI CEMETERY
ALTERATIONS IN BY-DAWS AND SCALE OP CHARGES. The following new by-laws concerning the ICarori Cemetery, alterations in the charges connected with interments, etc., wero adopted by tho Oity Council on Thursday night:— No vehicle ot any kind shall entej or be within any cemetery except between tho hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the day time. No vehicle shall leave the main road of any cemetery. No horse within the cemetery shall bo left unattended. No vehicle of any kind shall travel In any cemetery at a greater Bpeed than four miles an hour.
Any application mado after passing of this by-law for a right of purchase of any lot not previously used 'for interment shall lapse unless tho purchase- is completed by payment within six calendar months from the date of the application. Any such application made before the passing of this by-law shall lapso unless the purchase is completed before February 1, 1921.
No monumental mason or other person shall remove from the cemetery or from any grave, any fence, headstone, monument or tablet without iirst obtaining permission in writing from the Town Olerk in respect ot each removal. No person shall remove or take from tnn ccmetery any wreath, plant, flowers, or any other thinsrs without the permission of the sexton.
Any application mado after tho passing of this by-law for a right to purchase an addition to any .plot m which an interment lias previously taken place shall lapse unless tho purchase is completed by .payment within six calendar months from the date of the application. Any such application made before tho passing of this by-law- shall lapse unless the purchase is completed (before February i, 1921.
Tho provisions as to fees are repealed, and in lieu thereof it is enacted as fol lows:—lnterment of still-born child, Vs. 6d.; every other interment except oil days next hereafter mentioned, £1; interments on New Year's Day, Wellington Anniversary Day, Good Friday. Easter Monday, tho Sovereign's Birthday, Dominion Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and Sundays, £1 10a.; disinterment, £1 55.; disinterment and reinterment, £2 65.; interment or disinterment if grave moro than 6ft. in depth, per foot Pttrn. 55.; purchase of right of burial in perpetuity in one small plot, 9ft. x 3ft. 6in., £3; purchase of right of burial in perpetuity in ono large plot, 9ft. x 6ft., £5; and for each extra foot in width (in addtion to largo lilot),. £1. Keeping graves in order: A single plot, per annum, 205.; plot 9ft. x 6ft„ per annum, 305.; plot 9ft. s 9ft,„ per annum, 35b.; plot 9ft. x 12ft., per annum. £2; larger plots by special arrangement.
