It was further asked that tho award come into force as from Jul> 1, 1920, and continue in force for one 3 %h'r. employers filed counter-propo^ls-m which tho claims of the union were obiccted to. It wns proposed that tho ex lirins award, so far as the same was applWbk should lie renewed for a period oT three years subject to such adjustment of wages as tho Conciliation Council or Arbitration Court deemed advisable. The employers aso asked for the deletion nf clause 14 of tho award and the addition of the followi««t to clanso 7: "Deductions may be rnnrto from wnsw for time lost throngh sicknes« or default of tho worker or for his or her voluntary nb»nce with or without the consent of the emmover. An agreement was arrived at with rerard to all points, except hours and ■Piirtlwr hewing of the dispute will be fnlcen on a date to be fixed.
