MAIN TRUNK EXPRESS STRIKES SLIP
By Telegraph—Prots Association. Te Kuiti, July 19. Last night the express from Wellington struck a slip south of Taihape. Soma of the passengers were thrown from their seats, but no damage was done, beyond a burst pipe. Tho under-carriages nnd sides of carriages were covered with mud and rand. A big parja rook was jambed in tho step of the second carriage. One passenger said that only the speed of the train carried them through.
