SHIPBUILDING
* ¥ INCREASE IN UNITED KINGDOM. (Rec. July 18, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 16. According to Lloyd's merchant shipping statistics 8,578,000 tons were being built in tho United Kingdom at the on<l of June, an increase of 18d-,000 tons compared with March. The total being built' abroad was 1,142,000 tons, ■ a decrease of 405,000 tons, duo to the largo decrease in building' tonnage in the United States—Reutor.
