'■• Coming as it did directly after the Hac,ing Club's ball, its promoters were enabled to retain the whole of .the decora- ' tions from the previous night, and- again they formed a most charming background for the many-pretty frocks which were worn. The light and delicate effects of. the. scheme.. of colouring were perhaps mora fully realised because of the lack of crowding: ✓although there was a very good ■ attendance of dancers. Bitting out, and suppW was served in- tho Concert Chamber, the excellent arrangements having been carried out by Mrs. : Oscar Johnston! Morton, Mrs. Morton, in deep saxo blue, tulle over silk of a. deeper ' shade, with jewelled trimming and touches of gold; Mrs. A. 'J. Paterson, in black net; Mrs. M. Cable, in floral silk with a pink sash; Mrs. Benge,' palest pink charmeuse, with jewelled net; Mrs. Riddell> black net and lace over char-. •mense, with touches of deep sapphiro •blue satin; Miss Riddell (a debutante), in palest pink charmeuse and lullo; Mrs. M. J. Casey, in black'satin with black ninon overdress and moonlight trimming; Mr. and Mrs. Petersen, Mr. ■Mi Cable, Mr, and Mrs. H. Buddie, Mr. M.
