A MINIMUM WAGE PROPOSAL. Ey Teleeraph—Press AsEoolatinn. Christchuroh, July J5. The Conciliation Council met today to consider the claims of the Clerks' Union regarding the wages of clerks engaged by local bodies. A complete agreement was arrived at except on the question of wag«s, and nn adjournment was granted till July 28 to enablo the union to discuss the following offer:— That tho minimum weekly wage for clerks over 34 years' of ago with flye years' experience lie £i te., plus Bs. oonus; and of clerks over 30 years of age with ten years' experience £4 10s., plus tho bonus.
