THE AIR BOARD
MEMBERS AT WORK. The Air Board, which was recently constituted by authority of Cabinet, jlield a meeting at General Headquarters yesterday, this being- the third meeting field since the board was formed last month. The duties of the Air Board are, inter alia, to study aviation activities throughout the world in order to keep paco with) modern developments,, to consider all questions of aviation in the Dominion, and to advise tlio Minister responsible, to consider and report upon all aviation proposals submitted to the Government, and to consider all air service questions, commercial, military, mid naval, in connection with New Zealand. 'J'lio board is constituted as follows:—President, Major-Gcneral Sir Edward Chavtor, K.C.MG., K.C.V.0., C.J!., A.D.C. Members: Brigadier-Genernl G. S. Richardson, C.8., C.M.G., C.H.E.: Commander T. A. Williams, C.B E„ E.N.; and representatives of the following Departments:— Lands and Survev, Mr. T.' N. ftrodrick; Public Works, Mr. R. W. Holmes, 1.5.0., Chief Engineer, Mr. F. Furkert (deputy); Postal, Jfr. A. T Markman, First Assistant Secretary, and Mr. G. M'Niimara, Second Assistant Secretary. LieutenantColonel J. L. Slccman, C.8.E., M.V.0., I.G S., is acting as secretary temporarily. At yesterday's sitting of the board Mr. Leo. Walsh, of the Kohimarania Flying Rchool, Auckland, attended (/> give evidence regarding various aviation mntters, and a further meeting will be held to-day, when representatives of the Canterbury' Aviation Society will bo present.
