THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for high west to south-west wind?, and cold squally weather, with heavy showers .generally, and snow on the higher levels in the South Island. Barometer unsteady, but risinc everywhere shortly. Atmospheric pressure has been very low evervwhere. and 'strong westerly winds have" predominated.
