HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram; dated | July 10, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. London r"Moat: Upon removal control' early this week prices English beef and mutton increased to Is. 7}d. and 2b. respectively, but owing to a. poor demand prices much lower; beef. Ib. 3d.; mutton ,and lamb. Is. 33d. No change in' prico for imported meat. "Butter: Average price. English butter. • is. £16 16b. Irish is in active demand ivith short supplies, particularly for best quality. Supplies have been delayed on account of transport difllcultio«; creamery, £15, £16 16s. Danish production continues large, considerable auantity goinir to America. "Cheese: Demand for English Is limited with no change in price. Canadian is in good demand; quotations, c.i.f., £7 12b. 6d.. £7 148.. ~ ' "Hemp: Manila market quiet but firmer. Sales include "J" grade April-June shipment. £59 10s.; shipment. £63 10s.; present quotations are ' 10h. higher, Now Zealand market very quiet, Quotations slightly lower, spot hi<*hpoints, £55 sellers; fair, £54; May-July shipment, £54 and £52 respectively.' "Honey: Market quiet. Nominal quo tations are 85s. and 95b., according to quality." i
