fpV; —4 I YESTERDAY.'S PROCEEDINGS. Tlie Wellington Diocesan Synod continued its sittings yesterday afternoon, ' the Bishop (Dr. Spratt) presiding. On the motion of tho Ven. Archdeacon 'A..'31. Johnson, it was decided to congratulate tho St. Mary's Guild on tho I • irrea.t; success' of tho twenty-first birthday effort, and especially on the fact i that nearly.every parish„had its share in ; the work, the continued support of which I wis commended by Synod to church , -people. Mr. H. D Vickory was reappointed ; .'.diocesan auditor. ; Mr F- .T. Carl or ras appointed troaimrer of the Wellington Diocesan. Pensions Fund. ' {'/"Synod expressed its grateful apprecia- '■■■ iion of the generouß gift of Mr. Martin i Simcox, of two acres of land at Otaki for church educationar purposes.' i ' Mr.;-W- Hawdou' moved and it was deI cideil:' "That Synod is of opinion that j ' tho office of diocesan organising, secro' 1 tary, rendered vacant by the' transfer •'••of the Rev. R.
