CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
RETURNED MEN DISSENT FROM GENERAL RUSSELL'S VIEW. By TeiesraDh-Press Association Christchurch, July 12. The remarks made by General Russell at the end of last week in., regard to conscientious objectors were wtorcd to at the quarterly meeting of the Uiustchurch Returned Soldiers' Association tonight. Tho following resolution was carried:— . , . ... „ "This meeting of returned soidiers views with alarm the advocacy of a prominent General urging tho release of all conscientious objectors, and desires to inform the public of its dissociation from any such sympathy where the socalled conscientious objectors are really military defaulters; and, fnrthwnioro, it strongly urges that all military defaulters be kept imprisoned until yne completion of their full term of imprisonment."
