TRANSFER OF A LIQUER LICENSE

The application for a liquor license at Matainata, in place of the license dropped at Mukelu by non-payment of the amount of the fee, came before tho Licensing Committeo yesterday afternoon. ; The case has aroused considerable publio interest oil account of the lneuiod uuupied in amking it possible to transfer tlie license more than one mile. Mr Reed, IC.C., of Auckland, with Air. H* A. Sharp, of Tauranga, appeared for ' the applicant (A. Montgomery), and seven other legal gentlemen represented various parties. Jlr.
