An extraordinary general meeting of i Hhe members of the Wellington branch ! of the Homo Service League was held j last evening in the Chamber of CorameTce. Mr. L. Maysinor presided. _ I The executive reported that tho peti-1 tion to bo presented to Parliament was ; being freely signed, and that locally I about 1200 signatures had already been j obtained. It was anticipated that in all about 4500 to 5000. signatures would bo obtained before the petition was presented. It was further reported that Mr. B. A. Wright, M.P., would introduce' a do-1 putntion from the league to tho Prim« Minister and Minister of Defence at J9 a.m. on Saturday next. The deputation ■ will consist of delegates from tho four J centres. . i
