It transpired at tho meeting that the director of the British Museum had consented to tho collection remaining in Now Zea- ( land for two years, but proposed as , an alternative that the Dominion colleotion should bo sent Homo at once with • the Broun collection, to be namod in England. 'Evidently the director is not aware that the Dominion collection is very incomplete, and that it is impossible to make it complete in two years, or ho would not have consented to tho Broun collection being rotalncd in thin country. One - wonders what he would 6ay if he know the building in which it was proposed -to keep tlie collection was unsafe! It was stated at' the"meeting—thoußh the report does not say by. whom the statement was made-that the building up of a duplicate collection would require the services 'Of experts, and that the Dominion Museum was the only museum - in" tho country that had 6uch experts on its staff. Perhaps someone in authority will be good enough | to tell the publio who these expert coleopterists are?—l am, etc., 1 C, BARIIAM MORRIS. ; Woods' Great Peppermint Cum. i For doughs ana Colds, never tall*.—Adit t
