AMOUNT PAYABLE TO FRANCE ASSESSMENT OF GERMAN COMMISSION By Telegraph-Press ABaooiation-Oopyrljht Paris, June 2G. There has just come to light.a secret memorandum by a German official commission on the irench war damages. The document assesses the itotnl amount payable by Germany to France at 7228 million gold marks, less 215 millions -for German construction and public improvements. It reckons the amount payable apart from damages in the Avar zone at M millions; and the damages ito churches, cathedrals, and public buildings at 75 millions.—"The Times."
