■Tlie New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association held a meeting at Pnlmeraton. North this week. llr. \V. M'Keown, Dominion president, was in tho chair. The annual report, which wns dealt with at Hamilton, stated that, tho membership had. considerably increased under the new constitution of the association which permitted the appointment of provincial executives. There wenr now 221 members. Successful grading competitions had been held with the assistance of'tho Director of Dairy Produce. Tho labour troubles ill connection with the staffing of factories were very real ones, and unfortunately, owing to the nnture of tho business, were more difficult, to eolve than was the case when the' article dealt .with was not of a perishable and searonablo nature. The meeting went into committee to consider the nalaries .question.
