DEPARTURE FROM SYDNEY Sydney, June 24. The Prince received Barry f.nd Felton, and said he regretted his inability to witness thoir raco. Ho greatly appreciated the ecliool children b display,. at which 100,000 people' wero present; 'and desired his thanks' to bo conveyed to tho teachers and children. The Prince will lcavo Sydney quietly on. Friday night for Albany, and will go thence to Adelaide and Hobart, returning to Sydney on tho way to Brisbane on July 24.—Press Aesn. (Rec. June 24, 10.30 p.m.) Sydney, June 24. Tine Prince lias departed for Toronto (a watering place 17 mile 3 south of Newcastle), where he will stay the night, proceeding to Newcastle to-morrow. GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S MESSAGE. The Governor-General sent the following telegram to the Prince of Wales on the occasion of His Royal Highness'a Birthday (June 23):— "On behalf of the Government and the people of New Zealand I desire to convey to Tour Royal. Highness our respectful congratulations on your birthday. (Signed) Liverpool." His Excellency has received from His Royal Highness a reply, as follows:— Please express to tho Government and people of New Zealand my very best thanks for their birthday congratulations, which I much appreciate.
