FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for atronc west to south-west winds northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and southerlies elsewhere. Cloudy unsettled nad colder weather may be expected with further rain generally and Bnow in many parts of the South Island. The barometer has a. rißine tendency. The weather haß continued unsettled with Btiually westorly, and southerly winds Dredominating. Rain has fallen Generally, and has been heavy in many parts, accounting for flooded rivers.
