THE PRINCE'S BIRTHDAY
FINE DISPLAY BY SCHOOL CHILDREN. (Rec. Juue 24. 0.5 a.m.) Sydney, June 28. Extra interest centred in the Prince's doings to-day owing to it ' being\ his birthday. He received many congratulations, and there were frequent ipromptu demonstrations in lis. honour. He'-at-tended a great schools' birthday display on the Cricket Ground, twenty; thousand children participating in various tableaux, the chief feature being a group forming the Prince of Wales' 6 Feathers, with the words "Happy Returns of the Day" as tho base. Subsequently, the Prince visited the University, where th« degree of LL.D. was conferred on him. The weather is brilliant to-night. The Prince is attending the Queen's Club ball at the Town Hall.-Pre& Assn.
