WOOL TOLL
ABOLITION OF TRADE CUSTOM SOUGHT. (Rec. June 23, 8.50 p.m.) London, June 22. Sir Thomas Mackenzie has convened a meeting of High Commissioners and Agents-General of Australia and South Africa to discuss steps to seouro the abolition of the old trade custom of making a toll of one pound' weight in every hundred pounds of wool. Tho mooting was generally favourable, but adjourned for a fortnight to cnablo tho respective Governments' to be consulted. If the subsequent meeting was instructed to proceed it is likely to ask Argentina to co-operate.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
