Conquest liad hie license suspended for the remainder of the season for breaking an engagement to ride at the Avondale races on April 10. Tho committee expressed' appreciation of the' frankness Conquest's explanation, and was satisfied that in breaking his engagements, as ho admitted, he honestly considered he was bound to join with the members of hie association, and that he was not a promoter of the action complained of.
