A sequel to the jockeys* strike occurred on the Arahura m tho roadstead last evening when, as the result of acton by/ the ship's firemen, our riders who /ere to take part in the Napier Park races-A. Mansou, B. Deeley, E. Lowe, T. Close, and S. Kraetar. a racecourse detective-wero returned by the tender to the wharf. The trader-left the wharf with passengers, but previous to departure the local manager of tho Union Company warned the riders that tley might Vvo to return. On arrival at the Arahura representatives of the firemen informed those aboard that Se ship would not sail with the jockeys „„d Kraeher. The five mm therefore returned to the wharf'and the vessel left for Napier at 9.15.
