SUFFER HEAVILY IN ATTACKING CONVOYS. London, June 14. Advices front Bagdad state that tho Arabs suffered heavy losses in attacking convoys between Bergat and Mosul. Wo had practically no losses. Cavalry encountered three hundred raiders at Tauiyarah, and killed thirty-five. Armoured cars killed others. A column has reached Telafar, and is carrying out punitive operations.—Rcuter.. RETICENCE ABOUT OPERATIONS CONDEMNED. LontTon, June 13. The "Tiiue3" in a lender condemns tho reticence of the authorities regarding an attack on the British in Mesopotamia. It declares that tho concealment of unfavourable news can no longer bo tolerated. There has been 'too much secrecy about the military operations in Mesopotamia. Permanent occupation will involve continuous warfare, which is more costly than frontier operations. The cost of the latter is defrayed "by the Indian Exchequer, whereas tho adventures in Mesopotamia and Persia are chargeable to the Home Budget,—"The Times."
