Warsaw, Juno 14. A Polish communique states: The enemy vainly tried to break our front in Tolesia. A thousand Bolsheviks crossed the Dnieper, but suffered heavily. Only a hundred survived, and of these many were drowned in attempting to Teturn. The Polish withdrawal in the Ukraine continues according to plan.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. The coup was carried out by a Bolshevik cavalry corps, which penetrated Jitomir and remained there for a few hours. They burned the hospital and killed six hundred Polish wounded, besides doctors and nurses. The maintain, that the holding of Kieff constituted a danger to the Polish hoops, and that the military significance of the coup is far less than the political—Reutor.
