At the monthly meeting of the South Wairarapa River Board on Friday the resignation of Mr. A. C. Holm* from the office of clerk after nine years' service wtt6 received and accepted with expressions of regret Mr. Holms, who is leaving Featherston shortly, has also resigned his position as secretary to Loyal Unity Lodge (Oddfellows) after lengthy service. Another post hevacated during the week was ifchat of treasurer to the Wairarapa Automobile Association and Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. F. E. Merlet, Town Clerk, was elected to fill tho two former vacancies, and Mr. M. H.
