By Telegraph—Press.Association. Woodville, June 10. The annual mcstin'g of the Pahiatua Licensing Committee was held to-day, Mr. S. L. Free, S.M., presiding. Transfers of licenses were granted as follow:— H. C. Johnston, Post Office Hotel, 'Woodville. to Clias. Grenside; Pi. H. Howard, Commercial,Woodville, to C. C. King; Nicholas M'Carthy, Club, Dannevirke; to John Fraser; J. A. Ross, Masonic, Dannevirke* to, Clifford H. Thompson. Renewals granted were:—T. Taylor, Club, Woodville'; H. Stace,-Central, Woodville; Joseph Bryne, Club, Pahiatua; Henry Dooley, Commercial, Pahiatua; _ Campbell Merrylees, Junction, Dannovirlce; E. Sullivan, Post Office, Paliiatua; Arthur Hosking, Rutland, Pahiatua; Edward Knapman, Dudley Arms, Mangatainoka; W. : Johnstone, Duke of Edinburgh, Poraugahau; M. D. Harvey, Royal Oak, Weber; Jas. Fisher, Ilerbertvillc. Wholesale licenses were granted to Barraud and Abraham (Dannevirke) and W.F.C.A. (Pahiatua). Applications for licenses held over for three months to enable necessary repairs:to be carried out were: —Margaret M. Caulton, -Mangatera Hotel; F; Gardiner, Wimbledon; John Fraser, Club, Dannevirke; Clias. Grenside, Post Office, Woodville; C. C. King, Commercial, Woodville; Clifford Thompson, Masonic, Dannevirke; Patrick Barry, Maktiri. The license granted _ Herbert Parker, Masonic Hotel, Woodville,. and tile renewal from Sydney Andrews, Andrews's Hotel, Dannevirke, -were granted, subject to their counsel giving an undertaking that an alteration would be made to the sinks in the bar before twelvo months.
