It was decided that provision be made ; on- ; fho. estimates for the current year v for construction of a culvert from Apu j Crescent to the sen, the estimated cost , of the work being ,£3OO. j Outlying Districts. i Tlw following recommendations of the I Outlying Districts Committee were i agreed to: That tlio arrangements for a ; niotor delivery servico to Eoseneath a 9 : authorised by the council, bo put in hand forthwith. That provision be : made on this year's estimates for the construction of n footpath jit Maim •Road, _ Karon, near The Rigi. That :. provision he mado on the estimates for | the construction of a high level footi .path at Upland Crescent. The committee, also reported that they ; had received a deputation from the Eoseneath and Oriental Bay Muificipal Electors' Association with reference to ' better communication and roading facili- ; ties to their district. It was pointed out to the deputation the difficulties ' the council were contending with, in connection wfth tho supply of oemcnt, and {hey were informed that consideration would be given to their request when the cement supplies were obtain- . able. I . . / Reserves. .The following recommendations of the Reserves 'Committee were adopted:— . That the use of tho Basin Reserve, with the right to charge for admission, be : granted for representative matches, as i under: Wellington Football Association, i Juno 19 j Wellington Provincial Rugby j Football League, July 3; Wellington ! Provincial Rugby Football League, August 14. That authority be gTanted I foi ; £he reserre at Lindum Terraoe to be re-established.
