The Department of Internal Affairs wroto advlslne that it was expected that tho society's order for 250,000 rainbo-<v trout ova, could bo complied with. A letter was received from Mr. W. G. Talbot with rczard to Mr. Whatman'B suwestion at the annual moctinc of the society for nottlncr the fish in the Wairarapa Lake. Mr. Talbot strongly opposed the suggestion, and oxnressed the bono that it would not he adopted—lt wa,s 'decided to refer the letter to the Fish Committee. It ivas Ejtited that further particulars of tho Auckland Society's proposal for a joint iramo farm at Oambrid"o had not yet arrived, and the matter was hold over.
