TVe quote: Store cows, £4 10s. to £3; bulls, £5 to £6; weaner steers, £2 to £J 55.; weaner heifers, 30s. to £3; empty'2o-month heifers £4. 2a. 6d. to £7; dairy heifers, £10 to £14 10s. At Manaia on June 1 all Btock sold, at late rates. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Dannevfrke, report,the following sales for the past week:-At Woodville, on May 31, we had a moderate entry of. both ehecp. and cattle. Oat. tie were very hard to quit, but we cleared our yarding of sheep. At Dannev.rkp, on June 4, ttp attendance of the public was smaller than usual and. prices all round, especially for cattle, showed a decline. ■ Wo quote: Lambs, good, 205.: smaller sorts. 13s. lid., 12". 5d.; store cows, £3 10s. to £2 125.; weaners, Ms. At Whc nuahou, on Juno 2, we held a successful clearing sale on account of Mr. L. Senior. Owing no doubt to the shortago of fcod in tho neighbourhood, no local farmers attended. Despite the small at-, tendanco a satisfactory clearance wbb effected, the herd of 34 cows averaging £14 6s 6d.
