PRINTING TRADE DISPUTES

The conferences between the representatives of the employers and employees in tho various branches of tlhe printing trade concluded yesterday, and resulted iii a, complete settlement, except on three points, viz., payment for piecework, holidays, and retrospective payments of increases. This morning the leaders for tho employers (Mr. Fred Pirani) and, the employees (Mr. C. H; Chapman) meet tho Conciliation Commissioner at 10 oVock to finally approve of the partial settlement arrived at in regard to linotype and other machine operators, compositors, and Jetterpress, lithographic, rotary machinists, and stereotypers. Tho agreement arrived at comprises all tlhe industrial districts in the Dominion, except Canterbury, Westland, and Poverty Bay.
