LOSS OF AORERE
THE COUM'S FINDING. By Telegraph—Preßs Association. Wanganui, Juno 7. The Court of Inquiry into the loss of the steamer Aorere found three causes for the disaster: (1) The vessel getting into a leaking condition by working locso-in heavy weather; (2) the pump not being fitted with a proper 6creen; and (8) that the captain committed an enor of .judgment in not seeking shelter either at Knpiti or Queen Charlotte Sound. Other than this error, there was no negligence or incompetence on the part of Captain Crotty, whose certificate was returned. No order was made as to costs.
