STEAMER SHORT OF COAL
WIRELESS REQUEST FOR HELP. (Roc. June 7, 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, June 6. The steamer Havre, bound froin.Dunedin to Newcastle,. reported by wireless on Saturday that she was short of coal, having only just sufficient to keep steerage way. She asked for assistance, and the tug Champion. was dispatched from Sydney at 1.30 on Saturday with coal. She expects to p'ick up the Havre at 9 o'clock to-night, and will tow her to Newcastle—Press Assn.
