In tho House of Commons, in tho discussion on the Navy Estimates, Commander Bellairs asked if tho Fleet was to be concentrated in Home waters, or were wo to have a great Pacific Fleet? As there is now no inonaoo in the North Sea wo must have an outlook on tho Pacific. Mr. Walter Long replied that certain matteis of policy were not discussable. A number of questions of future policy was now before tl\e Committee for examination. A declaration of policywould bo made as soon as the Admiralty saw its way clear. In defending the expenditure on oil fuel bases, Mr. Long said it was the bounden duty of the Admiralty to soo that tho storago was such that it would be impossible for ships to be deficient in supplies wherever tliev might be throughout tlio world— Aus.-!N.Z.
