FURTHER EXPORTS TO BE LIMITED London, Juue 1. It is stated that the export of coal in tho future will be limited to 1,700,000 tons monthly, or twenty millions tons, yearly, as compared with million tons exported in 1913. Conl exporters declare that tho result of the increase ou homeward, freights will detrimentally affect the rates of exchange and increase homo prices. The Government's policy, however, is aimed at meeting the needs of the homo consumer and keeping industries going, so that manufactured goods can ultimately fill the cargo space hitherto occupied by export coal.—Aus.N.Z.
