In the provinces of Marlborough and Nelson there aro mountain masses Jrom which flow numerous fino rivors. whib the lakes l!otoitl and Rotoroa, both sj> endid sources of nower u-'o about 62 miles distant from Bleulieim, Nflson. and Reefton respectivelv Though tho establishment of a local Eoiionie for Blenheim and neighbouring towns has its supporters and the local source of power has tho approval of exnorts it lias now been decided to loin with' Nelson Province in asking tho liovernmcitt to make a survey of tlio power available from the two lakes montioned.
