At a largely-attended meeting' of tho Thuiodin branch of tho Now Zealand Post und Telegraph Officers' Association, tho following motions were unanimously curried:—(l) 'flint delegates to the forthcoming conference lio instructed to opposo any suggestion to a reversion ' to Commissioner , control. (2) That delegates bo given a i'rre hand in regard to "consequential adjustments." ('1) That, in the event of a coniplelo breakdown in tho present negotiations tho delegates l>o instructed to. advocate tho immediate taking of a secret ballot, and that beforo drastic action is taken, tho majority to bo at _ loast three-fifths of the total membership.
