XTAPPINESS is tho euro for human J-A misery. 100 often ia Happiness souglu for in wealth and in ease, but tho search hes deeper. Maurico Maeterlinck typified the search for lmppiness as tho search for the Bluebird. -'The Bluebird" is tho symbol of happiness, and in Wei»»gtan the abode of happiness is "The iiri Si'' i' l '' le capital- city Iho Bluebird' has been found, It is popular. It has become part of the city life, and it is a placo where healthy enjoyment dwells. t> "i T - h< ? B 'l' e,} , ir d" was founded by Mr. Raleigh Ginsberg, a Dunedin boy,. but it has been re-discovered by many thousands of Wellington, people. Mr.- Ginsberg has been associated with Ibusiness since his youth.. He is well known in (Jtngo Central, for at the ago of twentyone he had taken control .of his lata lathers business in Dunedin with branches in outlying towns. When war broke out, Mr. Ginsberg, of course, enlisted, but was..turned out of camp as unfit for overseas"." lfo then took tho management of the "Bialto" in Wellington. His business enterprise prompted J." 11 ' to become tho leading retailer of confectionery in the city, and having secured largo and roomy premises next door to tlito Grand Opera House, Manners Street, he opened what has since become fnmous as "Thp Bluebird.'' "Bluebird" decorations told the public that someone with artistic taste and enterprise had entered into the confectionery trade, and "The Bluebird" rapidly became so popular that tho premises had to bo enlarged. In September last "The Bluebird" suffered from fire, but its'feathers were only scorched, and' the symbol of "Happiness" reappeared entirely covered with a ©rand-new stock of confectionery. Tbn new "Bluebird" was an improvement upon tho old.. Again, as'previously, "The Bluebird" becamq. thfc favourite house of call for those who seek good confectionery. So popular is the shop that four as. sistnnts are continuously busy. Every Friday and Saturday "The Bluebird" holds a genuinesale of confectionery, when all popular lines aro materially reduced in prico. This has proved a great innovation, and Mr. Ginsberg was thio first in New Zealand to hold confectionery sales. Every article and every make of confectionery is lowered in price, and "The Bluebird" draws crowds. His icason for holding the 6ales is duel to business enterprise He obtains a quick turnover. The stock is kept always fresh, and his customers benefit. Thero is no gainsaying tho last. At the present time confectionery is very scarco in New Zealand, but Mrs. Ginsberg has gone to.Australia to make arrangements for direct imports. Mr. Ginsberg hopes that within a few months he will be nblo, to retail confectionery of a. quality and'at a. price never bofore heard of in this country. All being well, he himself will take a trip to America nnd England next year to secure new business to copo with his ever-advancing trade. A mnrblo bar, where iced and aerated drinks aro dispensed, is part of "The Bluobird." The attention given to this is equal to the attention to tho confectionery sales. "Tho Bluebird" is no only tID symbol of happiness. It is Notico tho crowded counter on any evening, but particularly Friday, Saturday,' and theatre nights. It is then thousands aro grateful Mr. Ginsberg found "The Bluebird," and brought it to Wellington. Every lover of confectionery admits appreciation. " ' ' MANGOLDS. MANGOLDS. ' MANGOLDS. MANGOLDS.
