HANDLING MUNITIONS
TRIPLE LABOUR ALLIANCE'S DECISION By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, May 31. The Bub-committee of the Triple Lal> our Alliance has resolved that tho position mentioned in a. letter from tho National Union of Raihvajymen with regard to Ireland, warranted consideration of tho problem by tho organised trade union movement as a whole in . Britain. Tho matter therefore would be referred to the Parliamentary Committee, v/ith an urgent request that a special Trado Union Congress should bo convened as early as possible, so that the attitude of British Labour towards the production and handling of munitions of war for Ireland and Poland may be determined.
The above-mentioned refers to tho consideration by tlie executive of the National Union of Bailwaymen of the refusal of Irish members to handle munitions, and tho executive's decision on May 27 to refer the matter to the Triple Alliance.—Aus.-N.Z. Cabbie Assn,Reuter.
