INFLUX OF ASIATICS
WATERSIDERS MOVED TO TAKE ACTION.
By Telecraph-Press Association. Auckland, Juno 2. Ihe continued influx of Asiatics has led the Auckland waterside workers to a decision not to work after n certain date vessels carrying such people. This decision has been conveyed to tho Advisory Hoard of tho Transport Workers' federation for its consideration. A leading officer of th» Woitersiders' Union this, morning stated -.hat the position was reaching what ho considered to be an acute stage. The motion was carried as a protest against the continuous stream of Chinese <.nd Hindus pouring into tho Dominion. "Tho Cliina-j'-inn," lie added, "is fast ousting tho white man in tho i«tail fruit, trade and the Hindus have gained such a footing that they are. now able to do good business by hawking butter for salo from door to door."
